Joshua Gruber, MD, PhD

Dr. Gruber is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology and the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is also appointed the the Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences.

He completed MD/PhD training at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by Internship & Residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University. He then trained in Medical Oncology and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Stanford Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine. His postdoctoral work on systems biology of breast cancer was supported by the Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund and Susan G. Komen. He is a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer treatments. He came to UT Southwestern in July of 2021 to start The Gruber Lab and continue his physician-scientist career.
